Assisting Families with
Special Needs
Having raised a child with special needs, I understand the unique challenges facing families that must navigate the web of services, estate planning, and government benefits for their loved ones. I assist in all aspects of estate planning, including specialized trusts and services to preserve benefits.
I also understand the needs of minor children, from education to potential employment and establishing guardianships when disabled minor children reach the age of majority. I have a special place in my heart for families facing these challenges and will provide as much assistance as is needed to help their loved ones lead as full a life as possible.
Estate Planning
An estate plan isn't just about planning for when you pass away. It's about making plans for everything that might happen in your life. Having a good estate plan gives you and your family peace of mind.

It is never too early or too late to create an estate plan. I can devise an estate plan that meets your unique goals from simple to complex Wills and trusts and financial and medical powers of attorney. When a loved one passes, I can guide you through the maze of estate administration with expertise and caring.
Elder Law
At RPMLAW LLC, I specialize in all aspects of elder law, including Medicaid planning, preserving assets when you or a loved one needs facility or in-home care, accessing Veteran’s benefits, guardianships, and placement assistance. Whether you have planned or find yourself facing a crisis, I can provide a comprehensive solution for your family’s peace of mind.

Do you suspect that a loved one has been the victim of financial elder abuse? It is not uncommon to find that a holder of a power of attorney, a close friend or relative or even a neighbor has used them for financial gain. I have many years of experience in these scenarios and have successfully recovered monies and, in appropriate cases, put perpetrators behind bars.
Guardianship Proceedings
If a loved one has a lifelong disability or finds that, at some point, they lack the capacity to care for themselves, I can help the appropriate parties attain temporary or permanent legal guardianship.
The goal is to ensure your loved one is protected and cared for while preserving as much independence as possible. A guardian can be a family member, a close friend, or a third party fiduciary approved by the court.
