Guardianship Proceeding

Guardianships

If a loved one has a lifelong disability or finds that, at some point, they lack the capacity to care for themselves, I can help the appropriate parties attain temporary or permanent legal guardianship. The goal is to ensure your loved one is protected and cared for while preserving as much independence as possible.

In the court system, someone can be named a guardian to make decisions about someone else's health and money. A guardian can be a family member, a close friend, or a worker unrelated to the child.
